Lighting Fixture FAQs
Lingthing fixture types here:
Ceiling Lights
Ceiling lights attach to your ceiling and include popular options like chandeliers, pendants, linear suspensions, flush and semi-flush mounts, and recessed lighting. This category also covers ceiling fans with lights and track lighting.
Wall Lights
Wall lights mount right onto your wall and are great for accent lighting. They can help with tasks or highlight things like shelves or artwork.
Floor + Table Lamps
Floor lamps can provide general or accent lighting and are usually placed in corners or near seating. Table lamps are great for desk tasks or adding accent light to seating areas when placed on an end table.
Floor Lamps: Used for general room lighting, floor lamps sit in corners or near seating. They range from simple reading lamps to large, arching floor lamps.
Table Lamps: These are accent lights designed for smaller surfaces and add a subtle touch to your decor. They also work as desk lamps, task lamps, and come in cordless or battery-powered versions.
Outdoor Lighting
Outdoor lighting covers all interior lighting styles, plus landscape lighting like path lights, step lights, and post lights. It adds both accent and general light to your outdoor spaces, while also making things safer and more secure for guests at night.
Our core philosophy is to provide lighting that combines timeless appeal with modern versatility to enhance any space. Our popular styles include:
- Elegant pendant lights
- Versatile vanity and bar lights
- Bohemian recessed lighting
The materials used in our modern light fixtures are: metal frame, glass, and rattan. The materials are processed to ensure that our lamps are not only beautiful in appearance, but also durable.
Proper care will keep your lamp looking its best and performing well for years to come. Here are our top tips for cleaning and maintenance:
- Always turn off the lamp at the wall switch before cleaning. Wait for the lamp to cool completely before touching it, especially traditional incandescent or halogen lamps.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth, such as a microfiber cloth, for dusting and wiping. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Regular dusting prevents dust buildup and keeps your lamp looking like new.
To ensure optimal performance and the perfect ambiance for your new lighting fixture, it's essential to use the recommended bulb types. For most of our fixtures, you'll find compatibility with:
E12 Base Bulbs: Commonly specified for our more delicate or chandelier-style fixtures, these provide a classic look and focused light.
E26 Base Bulbs: A widely popular choice for many of our multi-light bar fixtures and flush mounts, offering versatile illumination for various room sizes.
For both E12 and E26 bases, our fixtures are designed to be compatible with a range of modern bulb technologies, including incandescent, LED, and CFL bulbs, up to a maximum of 60 watts per bulb. This flexibility allows you to choose the brightness and energy efficiency that suits your preferences.
Please note that bulbs are typically not included with the fixture, allowing you to select your preferred style and light output. Many of our fixtures also support dimmable bulbs when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, giving you full control over your lighting atmosphere.
Finding the perfect height for your light fixture can truly transform a room's ambiance and functionality. As a general guideline, we recommend hanging chandeliers or pendant fixtures approximately 3 feet (36 inches) above your dining table. For lights in open areas without a table underneath, a common starting point is around 6 feet (72 inches) from the floor.
However, these are flexible recommendations! We encourage you to consider your specific space and personal preference. For instance, in areas dedicated to casual entertaining or where taller individuals frequent, some might find 6 feet off the floor a bit low, and adjusting it slightly higher can enhance comfort and flow. Ultimately, the ideal height balances aesthetic appeal with practical illumination for your unique setting.
