1. Inventory and Inspection
Review the Instructions: Read the entire manual carefully and keep it handy for future reference.
Verify the Contents: Cross-reference the Parts List and Hardware List against the contents of your box.
Check for Damage: Inspect all wooden and metal pieces for any scratches or defects.
Missing or Damaged Parts? Stop immediately! Contact our dedicated support team with photos of the packaging and product before proceeding.
2. Prepare Your Workspace
Choose a Soft Surface: Always assemble your furniture on a soft, smooth surface, such as a carpet or area rug. This crucial step protects the wooden components from unsightly scratches.
Clear the Area: Ensure you have enough space to lay out all components without obstruction.
3. The Golden Rule of Assembly
Use Manual Tools: We strongly recommend using only manual tools for this assembly.
A Warning on Power Drills: Power tools generate too much torque and can easily damage the composite wood panels. If you absolutely must use an electric screwdriver, set the power and torque to the absolute minimum.
The Snug-but-Loose Technique: Do not fully tighten any screws until the entire structure for that phase is complete and all parts align perfectly. Prematurely tightening screws often leads to misalignment in later steps.
Mastering the Mechanics
The key to a stable bookcase is correctly locking the main structural panels. This unit utilizes the standard Cam Lock and Pin system (Parts C & F/G). Follow these simple steps to ensure maximum stability:
Install the Pin (F/G): Screw the metal pin into its designated hole on the panel. Ensure you leave absolutely no gap between the pin base and the panel surface.
Insert the Cam Lock (C): Push the circular Cam Lock into the receiving hole on the joining panel.
Align and Lock: Connect the panels. The Cam Lock's open arrow must point directly at the head of the pin it will lock onto.
Secure the Connection: Use a Phillips head screwdriver to rotate the Cam Lock clockwise until it tightens and firmly secures the pin. You will feel a solid, stable connection once correctly tightened.
Step-by-Step Construction Guide
Follow the instructions sequentially. Executing each step in the correct order is essential for a successful build.
Phase 1: Building the Sturdy Metal Base (P-06)
Attach the Feet: Take the four floor screws (Part E) and screw them into the pre-drilled holes on the base of the two metal frames (Part 9).
Connect the Support Bars: Use the six M6X35MM screws (Part A) to attach the three horizontal support bars (Part 10) to the two assembled metal frames (Part 9).
Phase 2: Integrating the Lower Cabinet Structure (P-07)
Connect the Side Panels: Securely attach the bottom structural panels (Parts 2, 3, and 5) to the metal base using the connection rods (Part B).
Slide in the Back Panel: Gently slide the bottom back panel (Part 8) into the grooves designed to hold it between the side panels, ensuring it aligns perfectly before tightening the panel screws.
Phase 3: Stacking the Shelves and Upper Structure (P-08 to P-12)
Modular Assembly: The core of your bookcase is built using repetitive modules.
Connect the Shelving Modules (P-08 & P-09): Systematically use the cam lock and pin system (Parts C and D) to attach the fixed shelves (Parts 4 and 6), always integrating the back panels (Part 8) as you go up.
The Side Extension (P-10 & P-11): Use the tall side panels (Part 7) to bridge the connection between the lower and upper sections, ensuring a continuous, straight line.
Crown the Unit (P-12): Carefully lift and align the top panel (Part 1), securing it firmly to the upper frame using the appropriate hardware.
Installing the Ambiance LED Strip (P-13)
Peel Carefully: When applying the LED light strip, exercise caution when peeling the white paper backing. Work slowly to prevent the adhesive from sticking to itself or damaging the strip.
Positioning: Follow the manual's diagram to position the strip correctly for the best lighting effect.
Mounting the Anti-Tip Straps (P-14)
This is the most critical step for child and pet safety. A bookcase, especially when empty or top-heavy, poses a tipping hazard.
