Tribesigns Height Adjustable Computer Desk Review
GWW, also known as Geeks Worldwide, recently reviewed the Tribesigns height adjustable computer desk, and below is detailed information about the article.
The Tribesigns Height Adjustable Computer Desk is a sturdy desk with a different approach than I’m used to: it has wheels! While being adjustable, and portable, the desk is motor-free, making it lightweight and easy to move. That does, however, mean you will have to go into manual mode to leverage a key selling point: height adjustment.

Overview
Coming in at $129.99, this is the most unique desk I’ve assembled. And do note, it’s available on both Amazon and directly at Tribesigns website. Assembly took me, by myself, under an hour. Please note, I have assembled dozens of desks and entertainment centers in my life; I like to shake up my office every year or so.

The instructions were easy to read and the images and labels were large and actually matched the physical parts. Everything you need is included, although I did use a drill at low power to spare my wrist from turning too many screws.
Many of the screws are Allen heads, and the included Allen wrenches work just fine. The wood and metal parts are solid, and balance the overall weight of the desk so well that I’m not at all worried about the desk tipping over.
The equipped wheels are intended for easy movement across different areas of your home or office. The wheels are lockable, which does properly keep the desk stable while in use. This mobility makes it an excellent choice for those who require a flexible workspace that can adapt to various tasks and environments.
Or, if you’re like me, and you just want to get out of your office but take your work with you. I’ve been using the desk in the hallway near my office to film my product videos. It’s a nice change of pace.
The desk has enough size to fit a large laptop, such as an 18” gaming laptop, as well as a mouse and keyboard. I tried the following configurations, and my preference is 1:
1. 14” MacBook on the left, mouse on the right, iPad on the keyboard tray
2. 14” MacBook in the center, mouse and keyboard in the sliding tray
Personally, I have a lot of stuff, and I dislike clutter. So I like to use the tray. On the bottom of the desk is a storage shelf with a rear guard. Again, if you’re going to be mobile with the desk, consider what you put down here. Books or index cards should be fine. But small plants, or pens could roll off. I want to buy storage boxes for this area – that would be decorative and utilitarian.
Adjustable Height
One of the important features of this desk is its adjustable height, ranging from 27.56 inches to 43.31 inches. This allows users to switch between sitting and standing positions, promoting better posture and reducing the risk of back and neck strain. There are several points of adjustment, but the problem is with the mechanism. It’s a catch 22. Motorized desks are heavy and require power. This desk is meant to be mobile, so a motor would be asymmetrical to the purpose of the desk.

Consequently, there are eight hand knobs that need to be loosened to adjust the height of the desk. It’s not difficult, but it is manual and the knobs stand out quite a bit against the overall aesthetic of the desk. What I would like to see are spring-loaded knob to make this easier for the user. I have chronic tennis elbow, and I like to alternate between standing and sitting every 20 minutes. So it’s challenging for me to turn knobs constantly.
Who Is This for?
The Tribesigns Height Adjustable Desk is a suitable choice for individuals seeking an adjustable desk and mobile workspace solution. Its adjustable height, mobility, ample workspace, and sturdy construction cater to a variety of needs, promoting a healthier and more productive work environment.
